I love all things fabric. Having originally been taught to sew by my mother, it took a back seat when I was working full time. A few years ago my interest in sewing was re-awakened with the arrival of a granddaughter. I began with a small quilt, and then a cot quilt, followed by dungarees and tops for her. I began making bags for myself, and other people admired them and began asking me to make one for them. So I make bags.
More grandchildren arrived and so did the range of items I made for them; quilts, quilted change mats, bibs, bandana bibs, insulated bags and bootees. At the moment my chief tester is Theo, the youngest and hence the name of the range Made by Jean .... tested by Theo.
Each bag I make is unique in some way; from the choice of fabric through to the finishing touches. Fabric is bought in small quantities so the unique quality of each bag is maintained.
From baby change bags, quilted travel change mats, baby quilts that can become heirlooms through to bibs and aprons. All designs have been tried and tested.
